My Illustration Process

1. Quality vs Quantity I wrote down a couple of notes about the topic ‘quality vs quantity’ a while back on my notes app. So thought I’d share it now - “Quality matters. Mindless quantity is stupid. What is the purpose of you making art? To play catch up, or to make something that’s valuable? Intentional Quantity will improve quality. Keyword “intentional”. Intentional does not mean “on point” or “perfect”. It just means intentional. ‘Consistent’ Quality is what that helps. Not ‘once in a blue moon’ quality. Consistency is defined by you. Less is not more. More is more. But less is more than enough. Quality > Quantity. This is true. But not the perfectionist definition of quality".

2. Illustration of the Week I’ve given myself a little routine to post a new illustration every Saturday. Here’s the one I made for last week.

And here’s a little process breakdown…

3. Favourite Quote of the week

"Everything popular is wrong.”

- Oscar Wilde

That's it for this week folks,

see you on the next one!
