Be Bold and Stupid

1. Be Bold and Stupid sometimes.

We made a video trailer for my new 14-Day program 'Cartooning People from Life' and I tried to do something 'different'.

I took inspiration from the meme culture that I absolutely love and spoke my mind out while having fun.

And the video turned out great! (My mom asked me to play it twice while showing it to her, that's a win)

LESSON - Do things that are fun, truthful and playful to you while stepping out of your comfort zone.

Also, checkout the program here :)

2. 10 Tips for Beginner Artists I came across this post from Etherington brothers on 'Top 10 advice for Beginner artists'

This made me want to share my own version: 1. Just Start. 2. Learn by doing, there's profound wisdom that can be gained by doing things which you cannot by reading about it. 3. If you are bad at something, try doing it 100 times. 4. You can't change anything in this world or your life by doing something for few months. Things take years. Stop hopping. Focus. 5. You are your own biggest enemy and a friend. Choose one. 6. Be careful with the language you use to speak with yourself. You are who you think you are. 7. You will NEVER find your passion, it's all a lie. Do your work and the passion will come as a result. 8. It takes more work than you think it takes to get where you want. 9. It takes less work than you think it takes to go further beyond where you want. 10. Think in decades and not months. So these are things I would tell myself or still tell myself.

3. Favourite Quote of the Week

"I can’t give you a surefire formula for success,

but I can give you a formula for failure:

Try to please everybody all the time"

– Herbert Bayard Swope

That's it for this week folks!

See you in the next one :)
