10 Years of Drawing Everyday

1. 10 Years of Practice

They say if you wanna get fairly ‘GOOD’ at a particular skill,

All it takes is 20hrs of Practice (I've talked about this before)

Not just any practice, but ‘Deliberate’ practice.

That’s 20mins/day for 60 Days 🗓️

So that’s what I'm doing when I run out of time/energy to ‘deliberately practice’ drawing.

20 mins of deliberate boring practice, for the next 10 years.

That's what I’m committing to.

“But you’ve already been drawing for far longer than that” said my friend.

Well, not deliberately. or with the intent to improve.

Imagine what that would do?

If you did something small for the next 10 years.

2. The ‘PRACTICE’

Each month, I have a theme to work on and I choose the most efficient way to practice that skill.

This month - It’s ‘Cartooning People’ and understanding the character design process much better.

Here’s what I made as part of this weeks practice.

3. Favorite Quote of the Week

“Success comes down to doing the obvious thing for an uncommonly long period of time without convincing yourself you’re smarter than you are”

- Neil Strauss

That's it for this week folks!

See you in the next one :)

Best,

Kesh.
